Anti-Social Media

Dogs and cats

But very few rats

That’s what I see on Facebook

Every time I take a look

Creepy, scary, crawly things

A chimpanzee to mama clings

We look all day at all the critters

And wonder why we have the jitters

One day it’s all about our guns

The next day there are singing nuns

But do we live a life of fiction?

Is Facebook now more than addiction?

We talk to people we don’t know

But not to our friend Bobby Jo

Our online lives seem to be real

We lie to others with much zeal

We never see the light of day

When we do hide ourselves away

We needs unplug from that disaster

And go and seek real human laughter
